Struggling premiership side, Wolves, are reportedly in dead-line day negotiations with French top-flight side Stade de Reims over signing Zimbabwean international Marshall Munetsi.
According to reports from France, Wolves, have made a “crazy offer” for the Warriors midfielder after sealing a deal for his teammate and Ivory Coast defender Emmanuel Agbadou.
The Zimbabwe international arrived at Stade de Reims from South African side Orlando Pirates FC in 2019 and has been a regular for the club since then. He has made 21 appearances in all competitions this season.
Vítor Pereira’s side have been working on improving their midfield in this window and are keen on securing Munetsi’s services.
French publication Foot Mercato state that the English club have put a big offer on the table in order to convince Stade de Reims to sanction a move. They add the fee is similar to the one they paid for Agbadou, which is around €20m.
Wolves are in ongoing discussions with Stade de Reims, who could now lose Munetsi before the window closes.
The Zimbabwean extended his contract with the French side, the deal included a clause where the club committed to pay his foundation 100 Euros for each kilometre he covered in a match.
The arrangement has raised more than €30,000 for Munetsi’s foundation which is helping educate children in Zimbabwe.
