Nakamba lifts the lid on Sheffield Wednesday move – reveals chat with ex-Sheffield United favourite
By Agencies
Zimbabwe captain, Marvelous Nakamba, has spoken for the first time about joining Sheffield Wednesday.
Nakamba joined the Owls as a free agent on transfer deadline day following the termination of his contract at Luton Town, and recently he sat down with The Star to discuss his move to Hillsborough and what he hopes to bring to the table for his new club.
The 32-year-old made his debut last weekend as he came on against Swansea City, and on Saturday will be aiming for his first start in Owls colours as Millwall visit Hillsborough. As Zimbabwe’s captain, and a former Premier League player, Nakamba is no stranger to pressure, and he admits that he can’t wait to get going at his new stomping ground.
Speaking on this week’s edition of ‘All Wednesday’, ‘Marv’ discussed his journey from Hwange to the top-flight of English football, why he wanted to join the Owls, and a phonecall that he got from a former Sheffield United man after completing his move to the Steel City.
