Highlanders back to winning ways as Ngezi maintain top spot
By Staff Reporter
Highlanders finally remembered how to win Sunday after edging out Yadah Stars 2-0 in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Barbourfields stadium.
The Bulawayo giants ended their three-match win-less run courtesy of goals from Mbongeni Ndlovu and Washington Nevaya.
Baltemar Brito’s side was under intense pressure as they had last registered a win against Black Rhinos last month, denting their title credentials.
In Gweru, fading giants CAPS United held their own forcing Chicken Inn to a nil-all stalemate.
The draw takes Makepekepe’s winless run to nine matches putting pressure on coach Lloyd Chitembwe.

Elsewhere, Harare giants Dynamos suffered their first defeat under interim coach Genesis Mangombe when they faltered against Bulawayo Chiefs Saturday.
Chiefs’ win completes a double over Dynamos and have scored five goals past the Harare side – the most by any team against it this season.
