FRANCE: It’s a new year, a new challenge – says Tino Kadewere as he seals loan move
By Sports Reporter
ZIMBABWE international striker Tino Kadewere has completed his loan move from Olympique Lyonnais as he looks to relaunch his carrier.
Kadewere was one of two loan players signed Thursday by FC Nantes as they look to strengthen their attacking options.
The Warriors forward joined a signed which once featured another Zimbabwean – Harlington Shereni – who featured for the League 1 side between 2007 and 2010.
Kadewere’s deal is until the end of the season, with an option to buy.
With 11 appearances this season, including two starts, the Zimbabwean international will aim to relaunch his career on the banks of the Erdre.
“It’s a new year, a new challenge and we are going to attack it with great ambitions,” said Kadewere.
“The idea is to give everything to help the team. I would like to thank the club for the trust placed me. I know the Stade Beaujoire well, it’s a place that I really like.”

Meanwhile, The Breton club also announced the arrival, on loan, of winger Benie Traoré from Sheffield United.
An U-23 international for Côte d’Ivoire, he had impressed at Swedish club BK Hacken, but is yet to make an impact with the Blades.
“I’m really happy to be here”, said Traoré. “Wearing this jersey and discovering Ligue 1 is a challenge for me. I can’t wait to start in my new colours and show my qualities to help the team.”
Les Canaris desperately needed attacking reinforcements for the second half of the season with Ignatius Ganato suffering from an ACL injury. Besides, Egypt international forward Mostafa Mohamed, as well as Nigeria winger Moses Simon, have both been called up to take part in the upcoming AFCON.
