Wolves coach commends new Zimbabwean signing after debut

Wolverhampton FC coach Vitor Pereira has described new signing Marshall Munetsi as ‘a very strong player’ following his debut in Sunday’s 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers.
The Zimbabwean international, signed from Reims in France last week, came off the bench for Wolves who dominated the game against the second-tier Championship side.
Commenting on the 28-year-old’s performance, Pereira said: “He’s a strong player.
“The three players that we brought in this window are strong—physically strong, and they can add a lot. They can help us a lot in this long season that we have to face.”
The Zimbabwe vice-captain has since expressed his delight at making a debut for Wolves.
“Very happy with my debut for this great club. Thank you for your support,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
The Warriors player penned a three-and-a-half-year contract and a 12-month option with Wolves. Munetsi cemented a big reputation in France where he spent six years and featured in 159 games for Reims.
The midfielder broke into the professional ranks when he signed for Orlando Pirates in South Africa in 2017 before moving to the French outfit three years later.
