UNITED STATES: Teenage Hadebe will embark on a new chapter in his career after his contract with Major League Soccer side Houston Dynamo was not renewed.
The 28-year-old Zimbabwe defender has spent the past three seasons with El Naranja, culminating in a 2023 US Open Cup title victory against Inter Miami.
Formally of Kaizer Chiefs and Turkish team Yeni Malatyaspor, the 32-capped Zimbabwean centre-back is yet to reveal his next destination.
In a statement on its website, the club said it had “exercised 2024 contract options on four players, declined options for eight players and two players are out of contract following the 2023 season.”
Hadebe is one of those leaving the side.
Dynamo general manager, Pat Onstad commented; “For those not returning, I wanted to thank them for their contributions this season and wish them well in the next step of their careers. We are already hard at work to strengthen the team in the coming transfer windows.”
