MOZAMBIQUE: Mnangagwa visits Beluluane Industrial Park in Maputo province

MAPUTO: PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa, visited the Beluluane Industrial Park, operated by MozParks Holding SA, on Saturday, highlighting the growing role of modern industrial platforms in supporting regional development, expanding trade opportunities, and creating cross-border employment.
Mnangagwa was visiting Mozambique since Friday as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
During his visit to the Park, the Zimbabwean leader was welcomed by the leadership team and the general manager, Onório Manuel, who presented the Park’s development model, investment prospects, and expansion plans, as well as explaining how industrial zones can support joint manufacturing efforts, strengthen supply chains, develop skills, and promote local content.
“Beluluane shows how a modern industrial park can become a platform for shared growth. President Mnangagwa’s visit reflects our neighbours’ interest in exploring practical avenues of cooperation that benefit companies, workers, and communities in both countries,” said Onório Manuel.
In turn, Gregor Binkert, member of the Board of Directors of ASEZA, shareholder of MozParks, and developer of industrial parks throughout Africa, pointed out that “the visit of the Zimbabwean President reinforces the relevance of industrial parks such as Beluluane in accelerating industrialization and consolidating regional economic cooperation.”.
On that occasion, President Mnangagwa expressed satisfaction with the progress of the Beluluane Industrial Park, having visited the Park previously and now witnessing its continued expansion.
The Zimbabwean delegation was also able to observe at close quarters the scale and diversity of activities within the Park, which is home to more than 70 companies, generates more than 10,000 direct jobs, and indirectly supports more than 100,000 livelihoods.
