Ghana, Zimbabwe sign 11 agreements to boost bilateral cooperation
By 3news.com
Ghana and Zimbabwe have signed 11 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation across key sectors, following the state visit of Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
The agreements signed on Thursday, April 2 at Peduase Lodge span a broad range of areas, including political and diplomatic consultations, foreign service training and research, sports and recreation, health, energy, archives, tourism, and trade.
The partnerships are expected to enhance knowledge exchange, promote joint initiatives, and deepen economic collaboration between the two countries.
Among the notable agreements is a collaboration between the Institute of African Knowledge and the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board focused on African liberation projects, reinforcing shared historical and cultural ties.
In the trade sector, an MoU between ZIM-Trade and the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) seeks to boost commercial engagement and market access.
The private sector was also represented, with a partnership formalised between Zoomlion Ghana Limited and Geo Pomona Waste Management (Pvt) Ltd to advance cooperation in waste management.

Officials say the agreements align with Ghana’s broader strategy to position itself as a hub for Pan-African tourism, trade, and cultural exchange, while strengthening ties with fellow African nations.
