Big guns sail through to Chibuku Super Cup Semi-finals

PREMIER Soccer League big guns needed penalties to sail through to the semi-finals of Chibuku Super Cup at the weekend.
CAPS United blew a two-nil lead in the second half, allowing Highlanders to come back in an entertaining game.
The two-all stalemate consequently ushered the match into penalty lottery to separate the two giants.
And it was Makepekepe who emerged victorious in front of a vociferous Barbourfields crowd, winning the shootout courtesy 5-3.
The result saw Highlanders’ coach Baltemar Brito suffer his second defeat in a space of 24 hours after losing while with Zimbabwe national team in Botswana on Saturday.
Meanwhile, PSL leaders Ngezi Platinum overcame stubborn Herentals 5-4 on penalties after failing to breach the students in regulation time.
Elsewhere, Dynamos inflicted a sweet revenge on FC Platinum to advance to the semifinals of the Chibuku Super Cup.
Dynamos, who were knocked out in past editions by FC Platinum, won 5-4 on penalties after a one all stalemate in the regulation time.
DeMbare, who were missing two of their key players and coach Genesis Mangombe, gave FC Platinum a run for their money in Zvishavane.
