AFCON 2025: Zimbabwe name strong squad to face Kenya’s Harambee Stars

Zimbabwe national team head coach Michael Nees has named his final squad that will face Harambee Stars in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier on September 4, 2024.

Kenya will host the COSAFA nation in Uganda at the Nelson Mandela National Stadium since the stadiums in the country are not ready as they are undergoing renovations.

In the squad, Nees has included players that play both in the local and foreign leagues. One of those from foreign leagues is Marley Tavaziva, who is a Brentford FC player in the English Premier League.

Andy Rinomhota of Cardiff City, Tawanda Maswanhise of Motherwell, and Tawanda Chirewa of Wolverhampton Wanderers are among the high-profile players in the squad.

Prince Dube, who signed for Tanzanian heavyweights Young Africans (Yanga SC) before the season began from Azam FC, is among the strikers named.
