Liverpool looking to sign Leicester City’s highly-rated Trey Nyoni

Liverpool are hopeful of completing a deal for highly-rated Leicester City teenager Trey Nyoni.
The Reds want to bolster their Academy ranks with the signing of the midfielder, who turned 16 in June.
Nyoni broke into the Leicester under-18s side as a 15-year-old last season and made 13 appearances in the U18 Premier League South, while also featuring twice in the FA Youth Cup.
The youngster has already represented England at U16 level but also has Zimbabwe citizenship through his family.
Liverpool are presently working through the step-by-step process required when signing a player of such a young age, but hope to have soon completed his signing as they strengthen their youth ranks.
Nyoni’s arrival is unlikely to end Klopp’s pursuit of Southampton’s teenage midfielder Romeo Lavia with the club having not planned for the exits of Henderson and Fabinho.
Roberto Firmino, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita had already been released at the end of June when their contracts expired.
The Reds had a £34 million bid, plus £4 million in add-ons, rejected by Southampton who are now bracing themselves for a higher offer from Merseyside.
